Coffee machines can be devious at times.
The Home Appliance Circus has its mimes.
My friend had one that was always made a racket,
Like a sea-bound piglet without a life jacket,
Suddenly stop and imitate death,
People would wait cursing under their breath,
Put the cups away, which is when it stirred,
Spewed the coffee out, clicked and whirred.
Doing this once its spite was sated,
The next coffee-starved did not get frustrated.
Once in a while it needed its joke,
Which it always played on the caffeine-junkie folk.
